Environmental portraits

I think this is going to be part of my final project for advanced lighting class, this is Albert Mcdonald the general manager at Aleworks (my boss). Used one Alien Bee light, 400W mostly just for fill.

So I photographed my roommate today at the Museum of the Rockies (where he works) for an assignment for my advanced lighting class. The assignment was to do an environmental portrait and this is as accurate a portrait of Ben as you will ever see.

New Blog

So I decided it was time that I set up some way for friends, family and prospective clients or employers to view my photographic work online. That is why I created this blog, and I hope that in doing so I do not completely ruin my life...

Might as well cut to the chase, photos. This first one is a night shot from Fairy Lake in the Bridger Mountains north of Bozeman, MT a few weeks ago. 2 1/2 minute exposure at f/5, got some nice star trails and a bright tree thanks to the full moon.
